Join Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Store Engineering Department as a Delivery Driver where you will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment/fixtures and materials from vendors and Kwik Trip retail locations. This person will also work in the Store Engineering Warehouse where he/she will:
* Load and unload warehouse supplies and equipment
* Verify purchase order requests and track warehouse inventory items
* Operate forklifts and comply with all OSHA and DOT safety requirements
* Maintain log books and vehicle inspection reports
* Work closely with several Kwik Trip Departments
* Assist with the organization and upkeep of the Store Engineering Warehouse.
Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours; however, it may include occasional evenings and weekends. It may also include occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications:
* Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record; prior commercial driving experience is required.
* Candidates should also possess the following:
* knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation to identify and diagnose potential mechanical challenges
* ability to operate a piggyback lift to load/unload trucks
* familiarity with the surrounding area to facilitate timely pick-ups and deliveries
* demonstrate a high level of customer service as this person has primary interaction with retail locations
* demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
* understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork
* self-motivated and a team player
* willingness to learn/perform a variety of job tasks
* ability to exercise sound judgment within company guidelines
* work with minimal supervision
* work in a fast- paced safety conscious environment
* willingness to work in all temperature conditions
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to operate a personal computer
* Knowledge of or ability to learn Maximo
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus
* Must live or relocate to the La Crosse, WI area
Physical qualifications: Sit up to 6 hours at a time; stand up to 2 hours at a time; bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently; lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally; lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally; lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently; carry 90 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
